As webmaster extraordinaire Ed Eccleston is fond of saying, Issue #6 of A
Thousand Faces, the Quarterly Journal of Superhuman Fiction, is up, up,
and away!!
The Fall 2008 issue is now available for your viewing pleasure
HERE . The issue, which debuted to raves at last month's Baltimore Comic Con,
contains nine great stories written by friends both old and new:
Bridge Club, by Erin M. Kinch
Being Friends, by Robert J. Santa
Payday, by Rob Brooks
Noble Calling, by Patricia Correll
Buried Potential, by Kris Ashton
Night Mutiny, by Scott Harper
The Nature of the Job, by Christopher K. Burch
Acid Man, by Steve Goble
Mister Brass and the Crimson Skies of Kansas, by Joshua Reynolds
The new issue also includes a review of superhero novel "Soon I Will Be
Invincible", and an online exclusive interview with Mur Lafferty, author
of "Playing For Keeps".
And, as always, if you like what you see and could think of no greater
pleasure than holding a print copy of Issue #6 in your warm little hands,
skip on over to our store HERE and order a copy of your very own.
And, starting with Issue #6, A Thousand Faces is pleased to announce that
we are now available on Amazon.com!! What better way to burn that gift
certificate you got for your birthday than picking up a copy of the latest
issue of the premiere publication of superhero fiction?!? Check it out HERE.
That's all for now -- go read!!! |

The issue overall was top-shelf work from everyone. I especially enjoyed ACID MAN, especially that final line. Excellent work everyone! _________________ Has no-one grasped the irony or the concept of the internet modem here? You think we put our scripts and artwork in envelopes and send them pigeon post? Thanks, Christopher.
I have read oly two stories so far -- "Bridge Club" by Erin M. Kinch and "Being Friends" by Robert J. Santa -- and I have enjoyed both very much. I look forward to reading the rest. |

| Took me a while, but I finally finished my copy of issue 6. Great stuff. I'm honored to be among it's pages. I especially enjoyed The Nature of the Job and Buried Potential. Some of the best stories I've read in quite a while. |

| I think I'll have to agree with Frank and go for 'Bridge Club' as best in issue. |

Personally, I think that Mr. Burch's The Nature of the Job was by far the strongest piece this issue. In fact, I'd say it's up around the top of my list of all the stories published so far. Real depth of character, fascinating side-effects of powers, excellent action, and no clichés.
Just wow.
