I have to admit I've never read any of the Wildcards books, though they sound pretty interesting. I'll have to see if I can dig some up.
But this past weekend, I noticed a Wildcards comic book at the local shop. I think it was an issue 1. Anyone read it? Is this the first time they've gone all picturey with the series? Is it any good? _________________ "He's thrown a kettle over a pub--what have you done?" |

I _think_ there was a Marvel/Epic run of Wildcard comics in the 80s, but they were not very successful.
Not exactly why there's always a need to take a series of stories that showed that superheroes can exist outside of comics and then immediately turn them into comics. . . ahem.
As far as the new series, I read a review somewhere that said the story was pretty much incomprehensible if you didn't have any familiarity with the books. I haven't seen it yet - the LCS I shopped on Thursday didn't order it. |
